KENSINGTON PALACE TOUR - 21ST OCTOBER 2009

The ladies of Perwakilan London headed by Datin Munah Razak joined a tour of Kensington Palace organized by The Women’s Council UK.
Kensington Palace has been home to the royal family for over 300 years and holds a wealth of history with all the glamour and grandeur you would expect of a palace. The King’s Apartment has an amazing collection of old masters including Tintoretto and Van Dyck; and the King’s staircase walls and ceiling are painted with William Kent’s vivid portrayal of George 1 court and its characters.
The highlight of the tour was the Diana’s fashion and style exhibition of 18 dresses which explores the Princess’s iconic style.
We were also shown the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection which has a stunning and unique collection of English Court dress added to by each royal generation from the 18th century to the present day.
The tour of Kensington Palace provided an invaluable insight into lifestyle and magnificent deco of the royal palace with many Royals calling it home over the years.
